W?s Rock Tea will be available in the W Lounge between 1 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. daily. It is served on a three-tier stand made of original vinyl records while elements of the menu are named after iconic rock albums and songs including Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd, London?s Burning by The Clash, the Rolling Stone?s Sticky Fingers, Aerosmith?s Sweet Emotion, Jimi Hendrick?s Purple Haze, Cherrybomb by The Runaways and a dessert selection inspired by Fleetwood Mac?s Go Your Own Way. Traditional British flavors are combined such as scones and clotted cream with unexpected twists like the psychedelic marzipan on the Purple Haze. The W Rock Tea is priced from ?25 ($38) per person.
This year, W London ? Leicester Square is introducing an afternoon tea with a twist to celebrate the rich heritage of the Soho area and the music royalty who?ve stepped through W London?s doors by serving up the new W Rock Tea ? a rock ?n? roll take on traditional afternoon tea.
